International Attendees - Request a Letter of Invitation Details
All letters of invitation will be sent electronically as a PDF file to the registrant's email address.
You can only request a letter of invitation during the completion of your attendee or booth personnel registration. Simply select that you would like to receive a letter of invitation and fill out the additional required fields.
Please allow ample time for the WAI team to process requests, which can take 7-10 U.S. business days.
Note that WAI is not able to contact Embassies in support of an individual attempting to gain entry into the host country to attend a WAI meeting.
Check the information you provide on your registration carefully. If any details are incorrect, we will not be able to resend an amended letter.
Please request your invitation letter prior to making your appointment at the Embassy, in order to have your letter available for your interview. Bring proper documentation with you to the interview, such as show materials, proof of previous overseas travel, and proof that you will return to your country (i.e. proof of business ownership, employment, family relationships).

Do I need to request a letter of invitation?
Not all countries require a visa to enter the United States. If your country participates in the Visa Waiver Program, you can travel to the United States for business without obtaining a visa. View the list of eligible countries and learn more here.
Why do I need a letter of invitation?
If the United States does require a visa from your country for travel, then you should receive a letter of invitation from the show organizer. This letter will serve as proof that you are registered to attend the event and will conduct business in the United States.
How early should I apply for a visa?
It is recommended that you apply for a visa and make an appointment at your nearest embassy or consulate at least 90 days in advance of travel to allow ample processing time.
What happens if I am denied or unable to travel?
If you are denied a visa for travel, you might be able to apply again and correct the issue, such as providing additional documentation. If you are unable to attend, please contact visa@wirenet.org so that our team can update your registration status.
